There's kind of an interesting debate about Native American Heritage, So many people claim to be of Native descent when they have no proof. I've heard of stars such as Demi Moore and Johnny Depp claiming to have Native Ancestry, supposedly just to get plus points for a diverse background and to spice things up and stuff. I think there is more to it than that. Many Americans probably claim to have Native descent because they really do have a native relative somewhere along their family tree, but the culture and pride of their tribe was lost because of assimilation. The government was pressuring Native's everywhere to move to cities and become their idea of civilized, causing Native Americans to abandon their identity and tribal affiliation until their background became merely a whisper to their descendants. 

Seriously. I'm right. 

Savage

I'm reading a book about Churchill focusing more on his military career, its called Warlord by Carlo D'este.
Anyways its interesting how unpredictable that Churchill is. For example he was a soldier but as a young MP he argued against expanding the British Military.
His escape from the Boers in South Africa is ridiculous. The story kinda cracks me up.

There is an interesting similarity between Winston Churchill, Douglas MacArthur, and George Patton.
All three of them could all be described as belonging in an earlier century. They all had more of a warrior mind than a military mind had tendencies to look at war in a sort of romanticized way.

The Savage radio show is pure art. Now that I think about it, I first became interested in U.S. generals after I read his book, Liberalism is a Mental Disorder. My dad gave it to me to read when I was in the 5th grade and my mom took it away because she thought it was inappropriate. I read it anywayz.

Circumcision

I read recently that San Francisco is considering a ballot to ban infant circumcision..

Anyways, learning about him was the one of the few not completely worthless things we did in PSY 101, which one of the most useless classes I've ever taken in my life. Seriously, my teacher was pretty nice and she really knew the subject, but how like how many personality tests and self evaluation sheets can you do? N I'm pretty egotistical soooo i should like that shit hah.

Don't take it or Health 250 if you can.

Anyways the Stanford Prison experiment was a pretty good idea. Zimbardo wanted to see what would happen if they had a bunch of college students simulate a prison environment. The experiment was supposed to last 2 weeks but only lasted 6 days because the people pretending to be guards became waaaay to mean and serious about their roles while the people pretending to be prisoners got really depressed.

Basically because of this experiment, Dr. Z concluded ppl often behave badly or cruelly because of the role they are put in.

This experiment was interesting and it really reminded me of the social experiment I performed when I was a sophomore in High School, way before I ever heard of the Stanford Prison experiment. They were both kinda off from an ethical perspective, but they really demonstrated humans potential to fall into an illusion.

I wrote a pretty good college application essay about mine called the Origins of Power. I just used my first draft tho, so maybe it wasn't that great...
